Against my better judgement, up for sale is a mint Millennia TD-1 preamp/DI/mic pre/EQ. Truly an astounding piece of gear. Tube and SS preamp topologies with switchable input impedance, HV3 mic preamp, 2-band fully parametric EQ, 9 different outputs including an audiophile grade headphone out. Comes with the TD-1 gig bag & leather handle wrap and will ship in the original box w/manual. These are $1800 new and the gig bag is another $100. Price is $1300 shipped. US Sale only (sorry to my international TB brethren).

Full specs and manual can be found here: Millennia TD-1

The highlights:

Multiple Paths, One Goal: Total Sonic Realism
  • Four distinct inputs can be optimized for any source
  • Instruments – Twin Topology® DI channel; dual-triode 12AT7 vacuum tube or discrete FET solid state
  • Microphones – discrete solid state HV-3 microphone preamplifier
  • DAW or tape outputs – Discrete solid state line level amplifier
  • Guitar power amp outputs – Speaker Soak™ technology
  • Powerful yet musical tonal shading
  • Two bands of mastering-grade NSEQ-2 parametric Eq; 20 Hz to 20 kHz center frequency, 0.4 to 4.0 Q
  • Optimized DI input for any instrument with variable 470 k / 2 M / 10 M impedance
  • Nine outputs for unlimited functionality
  • Patented Re-Amp outputs with custom-designed magnetics emulate Les Paul® and Strat® pickups
  • Audiophile headphone output
  • Balanced and unbalanced monolithic outputs
  • Balanced and unbalanced discrete FET outputs
  • Microphone level output with large-geometry DIT-01 transformer: -3 dB 3 Hz – 300 kHz

bump with a review from Recording Magazine:

"The TD-1 is one of the most outrageous (in a good way) devices I've run across: a recording front-end that offers several different signal paths, an audio router featuring REAMP technology, a world-class equalizer, a SPEAKER SOAK power amp input, ultra-high quality headphone amp, [HV-3 mic preamp], and Class-A discrete DC-coupled output section... For its relatively small size, it is packed with connections, controls, and features... This gives you an extraordinary number of ways to route audio into this machine... My first impression was 'solid' -- the sound was full and crystal clear... Plugging in an electric bass was equally satisfying. [The HV-3 mic preamp] was clear and ultra-focused, with a depth that was amazing... When you start adding up all the applications handled with the TD-1, the price begins looking reasonable. If you have the opportunity to hear it, the decision morphs into a no-brainer -- in every application, the unit produces world-class results."

The best SS bass pre-amp and DI out there. These things into a Berg IP rig will change your life.

I've owned 2 of these and I'll echo what Joel said - if you want the best SS tone you can get from a preamp/DI, look no further.

The absolute Best!

I am fortunate enough to own the TD-1 and IP112.....
I have heard many rigs in my day....including WW systems....this blows them all away! Wouldn't sell mine ever....

It is definitely a force to be reckoned with when paired with a Berg IP rig.

Agreed, 65dB of preamp gain should be enough to handle just about anything you can throw at it.

still available...and for those TD-1 aficionados, this is the later version with the non-stepped variable preamp gain control and the power switch on the back.

Thanks! If you ever have the chance to test drive anything by Millennia, don't hesitate. It is top notch.

Now that is cool! I've been aware of the reamping feature on the TD-1 for a while, but since I don't play guitar I never gave it much thought. Has anyone tried the reamping with a bass?

Great preamp, will make someone happy for sure. And, I agree with the pairing with Berg IP. I have an STT-1 and its fantatstic with either the IP310 or IP112ER.

Haven't bumped this in awhile since I've been out of town but she's still available.

I don't even think I'd know how to use one if I had one. Amazing piece of gear, but I better stick to something more simple.

It may seem a little intimidating at first because it's such a flexible piece of gear but at the heart of the TD-1 is a very straightforward preamp with 2-band parametric EQ. You can get signal flowing in seconds and forget about it or play with the features & EQ and see just how great this thing sounds.
