FS: Mint Phil Jones (PJB) BRIEFCASE combo

Hi, Guys.

I've got an absolutely mint Phil Jones Bass Briefcase for sale. It's a 100W combo with a 2x5" speaker configuration. Great practice/recording amp. Excellent for upright bass. I've used it with my fretless Jazz and Pedulla Buzz basses. I find it very nicely voiced for Jazz Basses in particular. Control over the mids is phenomenal: you can absolutely nail the Jaco tone if you want.

Bought it brand new a few months ago for just over $600 pus tax. But I've been away all summer, so it's only been used for 3-4 months tops. Never left the bedroom. Comes complete with original box, paperwork, accessories, etc. If you're interested, you can find my review here (post #64).

I'm only selling it because I found a great deal on a PJB Suitcase 4x5" combo locally. I love the tone of the Briefcase, but I could use a bit more volume and I'd like to step up to the "big brother."

Price dropped to just $400 for quick sale. Will entertain reasonable offers. Shipping from Tenafly, NJ, 07670 is up to the buyer, but I'll cover any PayPal charges.

Thanks for the interest. I was only selling the amp to buy a larger PJB Suitcase that was offered to me locally. So I;m not really interested in trades.

I have a sale pending, but there have been some PayPal issues and the funds haven't been released. I'm waiting on the buyer to sort out the payment.

Thanks for all the interest. Still waiting on the buyer who I originally promised the amp to. Again, he had some PayPal issues and we're awaiting resolution. Until then, I'm stuck in limbo.

Well, the PayPal stuff finally got sorted and the original buyer came through with the money. So, I've shipped the amp off.

I've already gone ahead and bought that Suitcase I mentioned earlier. Same tone...but considerably more volume and a deeper, more powerful low end. Just what I was looking for.

I'll miss the tiny footprint and easy portability of the Briefcase, but I think the Suitcase is the right choice for me.
