For sale is my trusty Eden WT800... Some people don't like new Eden stuff, but this one is a bit older. I bought it slightly used in 2003. For what it's worth, it says "Handcrafted in Montrose, MN." I'm not positive, but USA Music Corp is based in Mundelein, IL. I don't know if the "newer" Edens are made in IL or MN? Not that it really matters, but I'm fairly sure the newer Edens do not list a city of manufacture on the front.
I sold this head a year or two ago because I had GAS for a WT1205. Bought a 1205 which was way too much power for me. Then traded the 1205 to get my old WT800 back. So I've owned this head twice. But now I'm going to try Genz Benz and see how I like the world of micro-heads. Just bought a Streamliner 900. I would keep the Eden forever, but it's 26 lbs, and the Streamliner is 6 lbs. Nonetheless, the Eden is a MONSTER. If you want band members and soundmen alike to compliment your tone, then this is the head you want.
My WT800 must be from the transitional period between the WT800A and the WT800B. Technically mine is the "B" model in that it has the upgraded cooling system. However, per Eden customer service, it has the "A" power amp which means 800 watts bridged into 8 ohms or 400 watts per side in stereo. It has speakon connectors - no banana plugs.
Did I mention that this head sounds amazing?
I would do
$700 shipped o.b.o. (lower 48). Could do a cash sale for $650 if you want to meet somewhere (will drive up to 2 hours from Omaha NE). This is a pretty fair price if you consider the cost of new Edens, especially given that older ones are becoming a little more coveted. The amp has been well-maintained; I had the pre-amp tube replaced once a couple years ago. I've never pushed it past 1 o'clock on either volume or gain, and even that was rare.
No trades.
Rack not included, simply because it makes it too big to ship. If you come pick up the head and want the rack for a few bucks more, we'll figure that out.
