FS ONLY - AGUILAR DB750 WITH NEW TELEFUNKENS

Sign in to disble this ad
THIS IS A FOR SALE ONLY THREAD....SORRY BUT I AM NOT INTERESTED IN ANY TRADES OF ANY KIND AT ALL! I NEED TO GET RID OF A BUNCH OF STUFF BEFORE I MOVE AND I DO NOT WANT TO ADD ANYTHING TO THE CLUTTER.....

OK this is the 6th one I have had and I just think it is the greatest Bass Amp ever made! The problem is I am moving to Wilmington, NC for the new gig I have and I can not take much with me. We use in ears 100% of the time and I have no bass rig on stage at all so this is just sitting in my living room now. I know they have now been discontinued and hopefully someone will want an original DB750 over one of the new ones. This one has a pair of BRAND NEW Telefunkens. It has a Bent Plate and a Smooth Plate in it but I can not remember which one is in which slot but I tried both of them in various slots and they are perfect where they are now. It also has a couple of NOS RCAs in the other slots. The tubes have about 10 hours on them if that much. The amp has absolutely NO ISSUES at all and is in excellent Physical, Mechanical, and Cosmetic Condition. The serial number is 3492 and it is the newer design with the larger flat handles (which I prefer). It sounds fabulous with most anything you put it through and it is built to take the abuses of the road. I have about $350 invested in the tubes that are in it and need to get $1600 SHIPPED AND INSURED to the lower 48 in the ORIGINAL FACTORY BOX. I will ONLY ACCEPT A PAYPAL E-CHECK or US Postal Money Order. If you pay with PayPal you MUST choose E-Check!!! I had someone send me a Paypal payment who forgot to select E-check and I got hit with the fees (NOT A TB TRANSACTION) This is not acceptable to me. (the other party still has not paid me for the fees and it looks like they are not going to). The price is firm and considering these are no longer made is probably on the low side but I need to move it before I move in the next week or so. I do not have pics because it is at home and I am currently out on the road. I am not going to be back there until tomorrow or Thursday. Please ask here or PM me if you have ay questions.

Peace,

T

I can't believe this is still here???? These are going to get to be hard to get now that the DB751 is out...They go for about $2200 new and it has over $350 worth of tubes swapped into it...JUST SAYING YA'LL!!!! I would really like to sell this before I have to move next week...One price nudge to $1550 SHIPPED to the LOWER 48 in the ORIGINAL BOX....I will not go any lower I will take it with me or take out the tubes or something...I know I can get that on the bay...would much rather spread the love here if I can!

Peace,

T

FYI.....Bass Central (or some other site) has these new for $1699. HOWEVER.......I live in Richmond VA, have a boatload of high end gear and basses you might be interested in....and/or some cash. PM me a package price on this and the whappo( I do not think you would have to ship)..........and tell me what you might be looking for....I have a complete markbass set up......a little markII with 2 8ohm 102p's (that's 2 2x10 neo cabs) that I might put in trade towards..bought the package new for around $1900 total taxes and all? Anyway, that is just a teaser of smaller good bass gear I have.

Cool...I did not know that....When this one was purchased the prices were as posted in my ad. I have not seen any pricing since then so I am unaware of what the current new prices are.

Guys I know I did not post this (my mistake) but I am currently not interested in ANY trades of ANY kind at all. I am trying to eliminate the need to move anything I do not have to have and right now I do not need this rig at all. Sorry I did not include that tidbit in my original post! As mentioned I have no bass rig at all on the gig I am doing and I do not need anything except to get rid of a bunch of stuff that I am just moving from place to place.

PM Sent...

Peace,

T

PMs replied...Guys I know you can buy a new one for $1699...BUT you STILL have to put the tubes I have in mine in it to get it to sound like the one I have...That is going to still put you over $2,000. I am NOT desperate to sell this and I do not have to sell it in order to move. It would be nice to sell first but I it will not break my heart to just keep it.

Peace,

T

Thanks guys...Sorry I am just getting back in from a stint on the road touring. I go back out in a couple of days so drop me a line if you are interested. I have gotten a LOT of PMs wanting me to drop the price or keep the tubes or sell the tubes separately. I really want to sell the amp AS IS. I don't think it sounds NEARLY as good with the stock tubes in it and even though some might debate me on that I HAVE heard the amp both ways and I think the new owner deserves the amp with it sounding at its best. Final price drop to $1450 SHIPPED to the LOWER 48 ONLY in the original box. I will just put it on the bay or keep it if it does not sell for that here...These were routinely going for $1500 with the stock tubes not too long ago...Keep in mind this is NOT a DB751...this is the REAL DEAL. How do you think they can sell the DB751 for less than the DB750? THEY HAVE MADE SOME CHANGES THAT ALLOW THEM TO SELL THEM CHEAPER....THERE ARE A FEW THREADS ABOUT THIS HERE ON TB. THIS IS A DB750 WITH A GREAT TUBE SWAP NOT A STOCK DB750 AND DEFINITELY NOT A DB751....I am just saying...

PS - Thanks for the PMs but PLEASE READ THE AD...I do not need any trades at all so the answer will always be NO TRADES...THIS IS A FOR SALE ONLY THREAD GUYS....

Peace,

T
