FS Only-Ampeg SVT-200T

Sign in to disble this ad
See Photo: Just the head. $300 + actual shipping.
Includes cover which is new.

OK, here's the technical info I borrowed from the last guy to sell one:

This is the vintage/older version of the SVT-350T currently sold by Ampeg for $600-700 new. Main differences: this one is older (duh), it's a little less power, has knobs for tone control (much preferred; EQ sliders tend to break), and has massive heat sink instead of the noisy fan on the newer versions. Great tone, very tube-like without the hassles of tubes. Oh, and it's an Ampeg made in the US in the late 1980's...so you know it's quality and has good tone.

Anyhow...here's the specs:

Biampable, 200 watts at 8 ohms and 320 at 4 ohms.
2 inputs: normal and active (-15DB)
Effects loop
EQ:
62 Hz. Pull for ultra low
125 Hz.
300 Hz. Pull for 400 Hz.
600 Hz. Pull for 850 Hz.
1700 Hz.
4000 Hz. Pull for ultra high
Gain/Stage volume (master)
Line out. + knob to set it.

FWIW, I have one of these that I bought new in 1989. I would argue that they are the best sounding SS amp that Ampeg has ever produced.
