So this is probably the first amp Ive put on the block that I KNOW I will regret selling.. but the times seem to require it.
So heres my Vintage V4B. It has JJ 7027s in it that are about a year and a half old, and was recapped then as well. Im sorry but I dont remember what the preamp tubes are.. I THINK JJ's.
When I got it I replaced the original grillcloth panel with one special ordered from Fliptops to make it all spiffy. (The original stained one is still around and included!) It comes with the Roadcase as shown. It should be noted that the inside of the roadcase has some foam removed where the power cord fits in.. otherwise it would always snag. The power cord is upgraded to a 3 prong and is like 15 feet long or so.
I took pictures with flash to accentuate the scratches on the face, but as you can see with the pic without flash, they are NOT as bad as the flash makes it out to be. Yeah, threre are scratches, but its not a beater. Lettering is still on the face. Both channels work and work quietly.
The only problem Ive ever had with the amp is a hum/buzz that developed. It turned out to be part of the lead dress where some wiring became unsheathed. That was fixed and the amp was totally gone over internally being cleaned and having any thing that looked like it could get dodgy fixed up.. so this 40 year workhorse is just getting its stride! The few tolex flaws are pictured.
Would GREATLY GREATLY prefer a local sale and I will drive up to an hour in any direction to meet up and no charge. (my zip is in my profile if ya wanna mapquest it.)
