FS ONLY - DEMETER HBP-1J PREAMP WITH JENSEN TRANSFORMER OPTION

Sign in to disble this ad
I got this about 4 or 5 months ago and it has been used maybe a dozen times. It has been racked since it came out of the box and is in very good shape with the exception of a missing knob on the bandwidth control for the low. It is the smaller button and I just take the knob off the other one if I need to make any adjustment. The knob came off at some point right after I got it and I never bothered to replace it due to the intermittent use I was giving it. A new knob can be had from Demeter very cheaply if you wanted to replace it. These go for $1049.00 direct from Demeter with the Jensen option which this one has. There are absolutely NO issues with it whatsoever. It sounds great and functions as new. There may be some light rack rash once I remove it from the rack but it was installed in the rack and has been taken out since I got it so I am not sure until I remove it. I don't really want to take it out to check unless it sells but I can if it is a deal breaker for someone. I will let it go for $650 SHIPPED to the LOWER 48. Save yourself about $400.00 and get one of THE BEST bass preamps ever made! Thanks for looking and God Bless!

Peace,

T

To me this is a cleaner, clearer sound with more EQ to shape the sound or dial in a room. A little goes a long way on this one. You still get that sense of tube heft but without a lot of tube bloom with this one. I like them both a lot but I found the HBP-1 to be more in line with my tonal goals. It has character but in a very good way. Hope that helps!

Peace,

T
