FS Only: Gauss 5840 15" speaker, fully functional

Hi all,

Up for sale is a tested, fully-functional, Cetec/Gauss 5840 15" woofer.

This was one of the first 15" bass speakers to be considered "high-performance". Some of the classic Bag End cabs were loaded with these.

Cast frame, 400 (?) watts, paper cone, aluminum dust cap.
Big magnet with cooling fins.

Dust cap has a tiny dent. Cone is 100% intact, and surround/suspension is totally solid.

I have tested this in free air and it works great.
Actually, it puts out more bass in free air (no enclosure) than the JBL 18" I was also selling. In a properly tuned box, this will be a very robust sounding speaker.

Asking $125 shipped to the lower 48.
