FS ONLY: Trace Elliot GP7SM-250, 250w - PRICE DROP! $160

Sign in to disble this ad
Up for sale:

This is an older (UK-made) Trace Elliot GP7SM-250.
These have the classic GP7 preamp, along with a 250w/4ohm power amp.

Extremely flexible preamp stage:
-2 bypassable preshape options
-Graphic EQ with wet/dry mix knob
-'EQ balance' contour control,
-Active/passive switch on input
-DI and line out
-Tuner out on rear panel

Condition is a little rough cosmetically, but 100% functional. Comes with 2 removable rack ears that are beat but not bent, and will work fine if you want to rack it.
There are one or two chassis screws missing, which should be avaialble at any hardware store.

ALL buttons, switches, fuse, and pots have been tested and checked. The Master Volume pot was replaced by a professional tech.

One of the graphic EQ slider tabs is snapped off flush with the frontpanel. It can easily be pushed up and down with a pick, pencil, or even a fingernail.

2 rackspaces, about 11 (?) lbs.
Rated 250w RMS/500w peak at 4 ohms, and pretty loud for that rating - the Trace power stages were not 'overrated' like some other amps. It gets plenty loud.

This amp sounds great and gives you a lot of volume for not too much $$. Great for bar gigs, backup, etc.
The tone is very 'quick' and tight, with very present mids and top end - a great pickstyle or slap amp, though it can also do 'classic' sounds very easily by rolling back the EQ balance knob.

PRICE DROP: $160 plus shipping - paypal only, please.
PLEASE PM if interested - I'm not great about checking threads.

Thanks!
Martin

Bump for price drop.

Let's get this moved out!

NOTE: I will be gone for 2 weeks next Monday.
I can get the amp out by Friday if the payment comes through.

Otherwise, it wouldn't be until May 9 at the earliest.

Thanks,
Martin
