FS Only: Trace Elliot MP11 w/Footswitch and Trace Elliot RA600SX Power Amp
You are looking a posting for one of the hardest to find and incredible sounding midi-bass preamps made by Trace Elliot in their hay day. These were used by many huge bands like: Genesis, The Who, Phish, Skid Row, George Michael and Madonna. The coolest thing about this preamp is that you can program the input as well as the output for each preset. This means, if you are you using more then one bass and they have different outputs you can get them all to have the same volume. This comes in very handy when you are playing and must make bass changes quickly. There are 20 presets, so lots of tones can be stored in this preamp. Of course all are changeable.
The RA600SX power amp is a stereo power amp that is rated at 600 watts. It can be ran in mono mode with just a push of a button located on the front panel.
One of the hardest things to find with the preamp is the MP11 foot controller. Most of the times you find the MP11 there is no foot switch. The foot switch comes in very hand while playing. Not only can you change your preset but you can also change the volume if needed. This is a must have!!
I paid over $5000 for this set-up in the 90's and it still kills!!! This rig is much more then I need now days. There are no issues at all with this system. Rack and drawer are not included.
The price is $1250. NO trades!!! Shipping will be quoted by location.
Beautiful! I've only seen it once for sale before and it was without foot switch!
Good luck, it's an awesome piece of gear.
Freakin GORGEOUS! Wow... if only I had the $$$. Someone should jump on this.
Couple questions and while I'm at it, free bump!
Disclaimer: I should do my homework and go download the manual, but I haven't yet so don't flame me for not doing so.
As a fan of TE, I really like the tones from the older model pre-shape, tube and compression/tone shift controls. This just looks like a remote-controlled 11 band EQ (albiet a really nice, sweet looking 11 band EQ) - are those sounds in there somewhere (the presets)? How does it compare to something like a 12-band SMX? Just curious.
Until my disposable income rises above negative numbers, all the best with the sale mate...
Wow! if you change your mind on the trades, I have a Mesa Titan that would love to take a trip to Oklahoma!
The coolest thing about this preamp is if you play multiple basses you can set up a program for the output of each bass and eq it and just pick up the new bass and hit the preset and you're ready to go.
