I have for sale an a Peavey Combo 300 bass/keyboard amp with a 15" black widow speaker that I bought new in 1987. The amp is in great condition. There is some frayed tolex along the bottom dating from before I put casters on the amp, but otherwise the amp is intact and looks much better than what I've seen available on ebay.
This a great classic amp - it's rated 300 watts at 2ohms, and 210 watt as 4 ohms and has the highly regarded 15" Black Widow speaker. It has high gain and low gain inputs, 8-band EQ, and two separate loops - one pre-EQ, the other post-EQ. In addition to running effects through the loop, you can bypass the preamp or the power amp.
I'm tempted to keep this thing for sentimental value, but I'm just not using it these days, and now that I have kids it takes up too much space to keep in my cramped Manhattan apt. Here's hoping a new owner can do it justice! I have fired it up over the last several days and it's working great as ever. Nice, flexible and LOUD. Great for gigging.
I'm posting some photos below of the amp today. For old time's sake, I've also thrown in one of me gigging the thing at CBGB back in 1987.
I live in the NYC area and have a strong preference for local pickup, but I may be willing to ship if necessary. I'm asking $300 or best offer.
