are these rackable? If I remember they can be used as a preamp/poweramp set up right? I've kept my eye out for one for a little while now, but just purchased a bass so it might be a bit before I get money up again.

No there is no holes for rack ears, but you could probably rack it if you are a little ingenuitive and handy with tools. According the manual they are designed to drive a poweramp. At 2lbs its gotta be one of the lightest "preamps" around. Sounds very clear, uncoloured and good IMO.
