For sale (or possibly trade) is my Ampeg BA500. American Made Ampeg. Classic Ampeg Tone. Discontinued model. New 210 models don't sound the same. I went from an Ampeg Half Stack rig (SVT 350 and 410 BSE cab) to this combo and didn't lose much, plus it is more portable. It's basically a solid state SVT combo with Ampeg 2x10s and shelf port. The amp is actually more powerful than the SVT 350.
Amp is in mint condition and has only seen some rehearsal and practice time this past year. Great combo amp with lots of power - 350 watts alone, or add a 4 ohm ext. cab and get the full 500 watts at 2 ohms. Removable casters and kickback design of the cab are also nice features. The unit is heavy (95lbs) and I'm looking for something lighter. I will likely regret, but I don't gig and am looking for something that I can use for practice, jams, and future small gigs. This is a bit much to lug around.
In mint condition and comes with printed manual.
Price drop to $500 or will consider trades. Again, this would need to be local since shipping would likely be $100 freight.
As far as trades, primarily looking for either a decent head or lightweight (<50lbs) and high power(>200w) combo.
