Hey Y'all,

I'm getting back into the 3-way cab thing and can't keep all my other cabs. These two are the ones that have to go to make room.

Schroeder 12+L
- 4 Ohm
- Rhino
- new April 2010
- 1 handle
- spec: 20lbs, 100 db SPL @ 1w/1m
- list for $645+shipping
- $425 shipped in the lower 48, paypal OK

Schroeder 15+L
- 4 Ohm
- Rhino
- new Jan 2009
- 2 handles
- spec: 30lbs, 104 db SPL @ 1w/1m
- list for $685+shipping
- $475 shipped in the lower 48, paypal OK

Both are in excellent shape and I'm a "weekend warrior" type who rehearses at most once per week at low volumes and gigs once or twice a month, usually at coffeehouse volumes with occasional loud gigs (at which I've been using a pair of 15+Ls). So neither cab has taken a pounding. They were powered by a Carvin BX500 (500w@4Ohms, 500W@2Ohms), a Carvin B800 (500W@4 Ohms, 800W@2Ohms) or Yamaha BBT500H (250W@4Ohms, 500W@2Ohms) so they never got excessive power and were always plenty loud without straining the amps at all (great sensitivity on these).

I like these "normal" layout Schroeders much more than the angled baffle 1210/1212 type. I found the 1210/1212 to be mid-heavy and muffled sounding - all my basses sounded the same. I find the 12+L/15+L to be much more even (I don't claim flat but flat enough for me) and very sensitive - they don't need a lot of watts to get very loud but they can take plenty as they are rated at 400W.

The 12+L is unbelievably light - lighter than many heads and compact. My favorite cab to take to upstairs spare room rehearsals and loud enough for rehearsals with my too loud classic rock band (earplugs a must for me). Coffeehouse level gigs no problem. The 15+L is still plenty light - my wife and 12 yr old (now 13) son carry them without problems or complaint. I've done small/medium gigs with a single one and my pair is outrageously loud, even with just a total of 500W from my Carvin BX500. I'm just expanding my options by keeping one 15+L and adding some 3-way cabs to the mix.

possible trades:
Carvin LS1503 or LSX1503
LDS 15/6, 15/6/1, 12/6 or 12/6/1
fEarful 15/6, 15/6/1, 12/6 or 12/6/1
G&L JB-2 (satin neck, 9lbs or less)
Line6 M9
