FS: Schroeder 1215 BMF Cab

Sign in to disble this ad
This thing crushes! At 44 lbs. it’ll blow the doors off cabs many times its size. I don’t need to get that loud anymore. Dimensions: 17W x 34H x 15D, 4 ohms, 800watts. Fits in almost any trunk. It’s got that Schroeder thing in spades: a low-mid growling thunder that can dominate any mix and dirties up well. An extremely musical cab of redonkulous efficiency. Rhino-Tuff coating. Very clean, not gigged that much. Includes a beige custom cover. Looking for a local deal. $550. Not looking for trades. Will drive a reasonable distance.

In general, what is the difference between the Schroeder "Light" series and his BMF series of cabinets? They seem to have several similar spec'd cabs in both lines like the 1210, 1212 and 1215 offerings, but it's not clear how they differ from the info supplied on Jorg's website. Thanks.

I asked Jorg the same thing and he said that the BMF's were designed to have smaller footprints so they would take up less space on a stage (very useful if you do small gigs).

Wow ... If I had seen this before I pulled the trigger on a 15/6 I'd be on it ... size wise it is perfect for me.

This is a serious question so please don't laugh. For a cab so skinny, how do you keep your bass head on top of it without the vibrations knocking your head to the floor? Ok it was kind of a funny question

Sweet cab.

i've never had that problem with my schroeders...so long as your amps have rubber feet or something to help with traction. My recommendation: go to your local hardware store and buy a sheet of that stuff you place on top of furniture that keeps stuff from moving around...I know that was really vague but I don't know what it's called. It's checkered

One of my amps has rubber feet. There have been no worries there. My other amp is in a rack bag, so that one stays put as well. The cab itself has chunky rubber feet on the bottom. Really, uncontrollable vibrations have not been any concern at all.

My recently identified lower back problems would appreciate it if someone would buy my Ashdown Rig or my Trace Rig so I can pick-up this lightweight monster!

BUMP for missing my 1210BMF in a bad way!!

can't believe this is still here, I think I would rather have this then my schroeder PL210 4 ohm just for the fact that is a tall cab .

BMF 1215

I have had an 8 ohm BMF 1215 for almost 2 years and it is a fantastic cab. It's built tough, handles the low/low end great and can still cut through the mix. IMHO, it does have a soft 'pillowy' low end, but, that's just the way my ears hear it.

Can't beat the weight. Regarding amp on top vibrating off, I put my 4-rack SKB case on top, it hangs over on both side. I use a bungee strap on each side to secure the rack case to the handles on the sides of the BMF.

Jorg has built a very good cab in the BMF 1215 IMHO.

Bump for a great cab

Now must not be the time. I think I'll hold on for awhile. Thanks for the chatter. It was very interesting. Locals, feel free to contact me about it.
