FS-SKUNKWORKS SVT

Sign in to disble this ad
I have a 1987 Skunkworks SVT for sale. It came with KT-88's and I just put 6 new matched 6550's in it. It sounds great. It came to me with new tolex on the box, and has had a recent cap job. Weighs almost 100#, so don't ask me to ship it. Local sale only to North Florida. (Gainesville)
More pics on request.
$1700 OBO

6-KT88's!!!! HOLY SMOKE! That has more balls than Donkey Kong and King Kong on a polka run in a tu-tu doing a slow dance to a waltz!

I had an amp w/ KT88's before, and wow... I too swapped to 6L6's too, the KT88 are way expensive. The ones I had in the amp were $190 for a pair. I did not know that at the time, if so, I would have hung on to them longer. There are less expensive ones out there, but tha what was in mine at the time.

And what a tone, BIG, HEAVY and so much Punch and bottom end.

(Sorry for the odd ball comment above, have not been to bed yet and loaded on 3 XL Timmy Hos' coffes )

It actually sounds much better with the 6550's. The KT88's were poorly matched, and it never sounded good at any kind of volume, now--- it's the bomb.

Ah, yes, that would be a train wreck not being matched. Nothing like Chocolate and used motor oil, mm mm good.
