Doing some year end cleaning and consolidating.
Classic bass cab! Says RETRO in a manly deep voice. Made in Tualatin, OR. Cab is in excellent condition, cover has taken a beating.here's dimensions: 40" high, 26" wide, 18 1/2" deep. Total height on the castors: 42 3/4". Speakers 2-15" Sunn Transducer 158B, 4ohms, Power rate 160 RMS. Model is a Sunn 215 SH. Guy I bought it from said the speaks are made by JBL, I can't say for sure. The handfull of gigs I used it for, I loved, it's just too big for me to move around.

No particle board in this puppy, all plywood and dimensional lumber. Tolex in great shape for a cab this old.

Your tube head will love you for this!

Size and weight make this a local Portland, OR area deal.

I used to use two of these. When you hit a string, they go BOOM! Loved 'em. Wish I was local for this. You should hear them with an SVT.

The speakers were not made by JBL. Yours have stamped frames where the JBL's would have cast. Can't see enough of yours so they are Sunn's or CTS probably. Still sound good though.

I have one of these with two 8 ohm Eminence 450 watt drivers= 900 watts @ 4 ohms, and it sounds great! I also have a Sunn 118-vh curved front folded horn, also a great cab. Folded horns have the best low end...

Sunn 2-15 SH

Yep, I opened it up and the speaks are sunn 158b transducers. Still, it sounds great. I was misinformed myself. oops.

Construction is over the top heavy duty, all plywood, and dimensional lumber, scoop radius is ply bent over 1x2 cvg. Some old Oregon wood in this thing.

If nobody bites on this I'll try a pair of 3015 neo drivers in it just to see what happens. That should take about 30 lbs off the weight, and tighten up the sound.

It will still be huge and heavy.

As it is:

Price drop to $200.

Thanks

big regret

I sold mine in 1977 cause I thought is sounded to woofy. When the guy in the store tested it out, it sounded phenomenal, amazing. Only then did it occur to me that it was my SS peavey head that sounded like crap. I still miss my scooped sunn 2-15, but I am in Los Angeles. If you find a way to ship it, I will buy it!

FTL (less than truck load shipping) can be used for heavy cabs. I had cab shipped from Boston to California. They picked it up from the seller (not in a box or anything), strapped it to a pallet and trucked it on out. It took a few days. It's not nessarily cheap.

The seller was leery of the whole deal but I found a shipping company in Boston, paid the seller by paypal, paid the shipper by credit card and got it done without a problem.

I think I've waited long enough to bump this! Looking for a local PDX deal, cause it hasn't lost weight even though I starved it. 100lbs of big bass cab for $200. That's like Just 50 cents a pound. I'll haul it to PDX for ya.

On The Greyhound To Oakland

Sold!

I put this on a Greyhound to Oakland, 90 lbs, $90 for shipping, gets there over night.

Great way to ship larger stuff, limit is 100 lbs, so this monster had a speakerectomy to get it down to 90 lbs.

Guy only wanted the scoop box anyway for his vintage Sunn PA system.

Go dawgs!

Now if somebody wants a couple Sunn 158 transducer speaks cheap...
