FS: SVT-VR (US-made) Local MD/DC/VA/PA

This USA made SVT-VR is nearly mint, with very low hours on the tubes.

This unit has had the relay-bypass upgrade done, which means it will not shutdown with low voltage mains. The mod is reversible if you so desire (it's just a jumper) and the technical stuff is detailed in this thread if you're interested:

Love my VR. It's a Vietnamese and was a little noisy until I learned about the polarity switch on the back. But it's got the thickest sound I've ever heard.

I drove over 600 miles round trip from Silver Spring, MD to Orange county NY to get my SVT VR setup. I paid the same price, $1700.00, only my deal came with a 610 cabinet and thick custom Neoprene covers to boot. I love that setup. Good luck with the sale.
