Bump for a great amp at a great price. I'd have picked it up if a closer-to-home one wasn't available.

It's SWR Engineering versus SWR Sound Corporation and a BB2, so that puts it between '93 and '97 when Rabe still ran the show. This one has Celestions, based on photos.

How can you tell? I'm trying to figure out what I have in my BBII. They aren't labeled anywhere...

Hopefully the seller doesn't mind these off topic bumps!

As I understand it (recent education as I considered purchase) a chrome grille BB2 will have either Celesian or Eminence. Celestians have the accordian paper surround while the Eminence have the rubbery round surround. If you have a black grille it's either the Celestian or Bag End, which have a foamy round surround. I think all BB1 models had Bag End. Celestians appeared in '93, Eminence in '01. Hey I could be wrong, this is just from info I gleaned off the 'net. My Eminence guys don't have a label on the magnet. They sound GREAT so far, in my 2 hours of use.

Cool - Thanks for the help. I think I have Eminence. The surrounds don't seem very "accordion" like.

Sorry to the OP for the OT. Free bumps though...

Great amp -- Somebody should grab this.

I think he knows it's sold. That's why he asked what the sale price was. This information is useful to people trying to determine value on like items.

You are correct sir!

I kept digging after coming across this listiing and actually found several other Baby Blues that sold in the last few months. They usually don't come up that often so it seems like there has been a bit of a jump in availability. I think it's cyclic.

I am a good driver. My wife is not.
