This SWR SM-400s has been my go to amp since January. The only reason its on the market is because it has been replaced by my Aguilar DB750. It is a feather weight compared to the DB750, and boasts some killer tone as well... Don't believe me? Just ask Bryan Beller! Although it is not as light or small as some of the newer amps like the Markbass LM II, GK mb2-500, etc...My experience proves it sounds much better, and is much more reliable. The SM-400s has a tube preamp and is essentially the same as the SM-500, the SM-500 was like the reissue. It was the upgrade to the SM-400 in 1993. The output was increased to 500 watts (@ 4 Ohms in Bridge/Mono Mode) and some new features were added (Internal Cooling Fan) including features that were previously available only as factory modifications (XLR Pad & Ground Lift, and Transparency Control). I have a 2 space TKL case I can include in the sale. I'm looking for $400 shipped or maybe trades...(Who knows, run them by me!)
