BH250 Product Recall
What is going on?
TC Electronic is recalling its BH250 Micro Bass Heads due to an small error in the assembly process of the first run of product. This may cause two nuts inside the unit to not be tightened properly, which may lead to an electrical safety issue. Though there is only a tiny chance of you experiencing this issue, we want to address this issue proactively, since safety is of paramount importance to TC and musicians using our gear also mean the world to us.
What does this mean for me?
This means that if your amp was purchased between June 2012 and the 21st of January 2013 you should return your BH250 to have it inspected, repaired or exchanged for a new one. Just what applies to you varies from country to country - so please check below.
What does TC Electronic have to say about this?
Morten Ehlers, our product specialist for Bass commented:*"We are sorry for any inconvenience caused by this, but hope that everyone understands that our highest priority is to make sure that no BH250 owners will experience any safety issue with the amp. Only a tiny percentage of users may ever have experienced a problem with the nuts coming loose, but despite this we want to make sure that no one will be let down while on stage. We simply feel this is the right thing to do."
