This amp gets lots of love on talkbass...the tone IMO/IME is very articulate/punchy/warm/transparent. Whatever your style and bass you put into it..is exactly what you get out of it. This is the fastest/warmest solid state amp I've ever owned...(next to my Tecamp Puma) ...it is a very high quality and extremely reliable amp.
This amp has just recently been freshly upgraded by Dave Funk (January 30, 2013...) smoking amp in GREAT CONDITION...see pics..
I can provide detailed emailed receit showing everything done to make this incredible amp state of the art if anyone needs...only selling to help finance a bass on order...
The upgrade alone was $195.00 and considering a new 800B2 is 1895.00...someone is gonna get a great deal!

Bump for the mighty 750A - never played through the 800, but find the 750A better than the 420 and 550B, in many ways.
