This baby isn't pretty...she looks like she's had the hell beat out of her. But looks can be deceiving, looks like a mule, sounds like a Thoroughbred. I am the 3rd owner of this head. Dan Lakin was the original owner and had it in his shop in Chicago. He returned the head to Dave Funk who upgraded the guts and made it a new 800-B2. So on the outside it still says 750, but it's an 800-B2. I conferred with Dave himself on this and it's accurate. I was talking to him about buying a new top cover (about $100), but I decided not to, the amp has a lot of scratches and whatnot, but it just gives it character. The amp was purchased from Dave by another TBer here, who I bought it from. It's a fantastic head, unbelievable clear and true sound, and powerful, and goes to 2 ohms with no sweat. I'm purging a lot of gear, as you can see just by perusing the classifieds, so this is one of the ones that is moving out. Like I said, it looks like a mule, but I guess a warhorse may be a more fitting description.
