FS: Thunderfunk TFB750-A upgraded to 800-B2 spec

A bit of the backstory on this one - it was Dan Lakin's (of Lakland basses) personal/shop amplifier. Dave Funk took it in on trade and completely overhauled it and upgraded it to 800-B2 spec electronically. Externally it looks like a 750-A but it is an 800-B2 for all intents and purposes.

The caveat is that it has a lot of external wear (paint scrapes, etc.) that fortunately aren't visible when racked. If you don't plan on rackmounting it and you want a pristine chassis this is probably not the amp for you. Thunderfunk will sell you a new chassis for $100 if you like however, and I do have all of the original hardware including the strap handle. I am including the rack ears ($75 value) and SKB Soft Rack case ($65 value).

I am offering it at $1495 + shipping which is a bargain considering the included extras. That's $400 less than a new 800-B2, not including the rack ears and rack, which I think is fair given the cosmetic condition.

Trade interests (with cash as needed): Genz Benz ShuttleMAX 9.2, Moog Minitaur.

Here are some photos. I tried to show it racked, and then the good, bad and ugly of the casing outside the rack. The case has a few scratches and the right side of the bottom panel is bent a bit, but it has been given a full check by Dave Funk and he would not have let it go out if it was not functionally fine.

I am open to reasonable offers. It's an awesome amp, with one of the most powerful EQ/tone shaping sections out there.

Jeff,

Do you know what the different specs do regarding tone?

It has a bit more power and a bigger transformer so I am led to believe it has a more open tone with more punch. I can't really say for sure since I have never had a normal 750A. If you're interested I could email Dave Funk (or you could). He's really helpful.

Will think about the Thunderfunk if I sell my Glockenklang Blue soul!

Price drop time! I need to move this so here we go:

Amp + rack ears: $1300 OBO + shipping
SKB soft rack: add $50 (prefer to sell together, not for sale separately)

Trades only for Moog synths (+ cash as needed), light P-basses

Maybe I'm weird, but I kinda like the look of the scratches.
