FS: Mesa Boogie Diesel 2x15 Road Ready $200 LOCAL NYC

Lower Price -- this thing has been kicking around the classifieds for a WHILE. Offers, trades, bring 'em. Got to move this.

Original Post:

This road warrior has been in storage for a few years, but I pulled it out for a beach gig last summer, ran it with a 700RB-II and it's still got it. When we hit the first downbeat at our soundcheck, my harmonica player's head whipped around like he got hit with a rock.

She's survived years in the van and one mod attempt. I tried out a mid between the 15's. Scrapped it. Right now it is loaded with a Carvin 15C (made by Eminence I think) in the top and an 8 ohm Eminence Beta 15A in the bottom. They're both stamped steel frame and only been used one time.

In one of the pics you can see the 1/4" jack leftover from the mod attempt. That will need to be cleaned up, but it doesn't make a sound.

When I cleaned up the mod, I sealed up the hole for the mid and then screwed and glued another piece over the hole to guarantee no air could come out there.

It has a custom made grill covered in Ampeg sparkle blue cloth. I get comments about that grill all the time. People love it. It is held on with velcro and doesn't rattle.

I filled all the screw holes from the original grills (long gone, sorry) and repainted the baffle with some strong black enamel.

$200 cash and carry.
The price reflects the non-original nature and the mileage, but you will not be sorry. 2x15's are my personal favorite.

Pickup only please -- Manhattan -- 90's Upper West Side.

If it was a real fridge I could maybe keep it! Thanks for the bump. It's just not getting used in the big city and my apartment is too crowded as is. It does bring the thunder though...

Hi. I'm local and extremely interested.
I'm wondering how much mileage is on the speakers. And if you could be specific as to what mod you tried to do to it and how you altered the cabinet.
Thanks

Ok, just re-read the post. Looks great.
How big was the hole that you covered?
Interested and sending a PM.

I can attest: you can fit one of these in the trunk of a Crown Victoria!
And it's a killer cab.

Missed this question somehow...

The dimensions are 24"Wx18"Dx38"H, it's 41"H with the casters.

The weight is between 90-100lbs

If this is still here when I'm in NYC later this summer, I'll just have to take it off your hands!
