FS: Two EarCandy BassBombs 212s - Super Powerful!

So here we have two matching EarCandy BassBomb 212s. These cabs are absolutely incredible.

900W quad ported beasts. I have run SVT CLs, VRs, a Traynor YBA200, a Peavey IPR3000, and lots of other amps through these cabs. I always said I'd never sell these, but I ordered an AON composite Dually which will be my main cab and I won't really have a use for these anymore.

One cab has a telescoping handle with casters, the other does not. I didn't want wheels on the top cab so it would sit in a vertical stack better. They weigh 55 lbs so they are easy to move around. Both are in Diablo tolex with salt n pepper grills. Both are in good shape and I take good care of my gear, but I did gig with them for 2+ years so there are some nicks here and there. The bottom cab (with casters) has one Speakon input, the top cab has two.

EarCandy has recently gone under, so you cannot get these anymore. Lots of negative things can be said about the company, but not about the cabs. They are built well and have monstrous tone. There is a tone of air movement through the ports. These will literally take anything you can throw at them.

I'm starting off asking $450 a piece, or $800 takes both. I won't ship as I don't have the means to package these and I'm sure it would be expensive. I live in Pittsburgh but would be willing to drive a reasonable distance.

I don't want to write a book, so here are some specs and reviews: BassBomb 212 cabinet - Bass Gear Reviews at TalkBass.com

Here are some pics, as well as detailed pics of the bottom cab. The cabs are at my practice space right now, but if someone wants, on Tuesday I can try to take pictures of any little nicks in the Tolex. They aren't bad but just offering full disclosure. Also, they are definitely the same dimensions. They only appear different in the pics because of the angle of the photo.

8 ohm cabinets? Speakon plugs? What are the physical dimensions of these things? Do you know what type drivers are actually in it right now? I wasn't looking for cabinets, but these look nice.
You should come down to the Ernie and the Berts show tonight, we can talk..

"The cabinet is 28"x18"x16" weighs 55 lbs and comes with 2-12" speakers(your choice of speakers). The speakers in this cab are Eminence Delta Pro 12-A, and Kappa Pro 12-A type speakers."

The cab with casters has one speakon plug, the cab with no casters has two speakons.

The review link I posted says Tim offered a choice of the two speakers, but I wasn't given a choice, so I'm not sure which are installed. I can try to check, but he did tell me they are 900W. The cab with casters I bought second hand, the one without I had Tim build for me.

Both cabs are 4 ohms.

I've been meaning to come to a show! But tonight I have Pens tickets. But you can ask Dave how they sound, as I've been using them at practice.

Sorry, was in a terrible mood after an AHL team showed up last night in place of the Penguins.

Thanks eyeball! These are definitely sleeper cabs. People look at you funny when you load them in and then you blow their pants off!

I would yell at you and tell you to keep the hockey out of my for sale thread, but luckily for you what the Penguins have done this post-season shouldn't be considered hockey!

I would say that you have the Delta's, they are rated @450 watts and the Kappa's are 500 watts. Either way one killer cabinet. Tedward

That would definitely make sense then, as I was told they were 900W and never told they were 1000W. Thanks for your input Tedward!

If you can hold off and compare your new cab with these I would say wait otherwise you will regret this.

Be quiet, voice of reason!

I can hold off, but I know I'm going to like the new cab... Plus these are rather unknown so I figure they'll take awhile to sell to someone close enough to be local.

I've heard and played through these. They are impressive cabs. I don't usually like 12" speakers either.

People are obviously underestimating the power of these 2x12 cabinets.

You people know Lazarus uses these in his DOOM BAND, right???

Correct me if I'm wrong but these pump out volume and punch on par with an 8x10??

It's been a long time since I've used an 8x10, but when I owned an SVT-610HLF one of these came pretty close to the volume of that. With a proper amp these two cabs will definitely fit in just fine with guitar full stacks. In my last band we went by the mantra of if people don't think we're good, at least they'll remember us because we were loud. We were
