I posted this several months ago as a trade feeler. I got a few interesting offers but none that got me excited enough to part with it.
I am ready to move this now: For Sale 360.00 OBO ** Plus- I will split the shipping cost( US or Canada) with the buyer 50/50**This was actually my very first amp. I am the one and only owner of this early/mid 70"s Traynor YBA-4. In all honesty, my parents bought this for me before I really knew much about bass at all: Other than that I wanted to give it a try. I played it in church a few times a month until I grew up and went on my way. Since then, about 30 years now, it has been sitting in my folks house untouched. It is shocking to realize that over the years, I have bought, sold and traded a multitude of amps and I had a decent one all along. I will blame my youth at the time( read foolishness) on my ignorance as to what I actually had. Until I rescued it a few months ago, I didn't even realize that it was an all tube amp.
Anyway, although I really appreciate the tube sound, my almost 50 year old knees and back have learned to go compact and as light as possible. Although this 75-80 pound combo is not massive, it is not the way I roll these days. I am hoping that someone knows what these amps are all about. I played it 30 years ago, but I can't offer much info about it. It still has the original tubes, sounds great, other than a few scratchy pots, and is actually quite louder than I remember. Being a kid at the time, it has its share of small dings and scrapes, nothing major, that make it look more used than I know it is. But, to my knowledge, there are no issues with this amp at all. It is a vintage amp that just might be someone's cup of tea... For Sale/No Trades 360.00 OBO **Plus- I will split the shipping cost (US or Canada) with the buyer 50/50**

I was shocked at just how good it sounds. If I run it into my LDS410, it makes me want to hire a roadie... Pretty awesome! |

I just wish that I knew at the time what I really had... Lessons learned.
Thanks for the supporting comments and bumps. As some of us know, the old Traynors are pretty special. |

I initially posted this as a trade only. In my cut & paste from the original listing, I failed to delete the trade references. It is for sale this time around. Thanks |

In my experience, quite a bit more powerful than my 500W Hybrid amp. It will do the job, and then some. From what I was told, someone correct me if I am wrong, the YBA4 was the combo version of the YBA1 head. In stock form, as this one is, they were 45-50 watts. But easily modified to exceed that rating.
Shipping to your door in NY will cost you (and I) approx 50.00. That is why I am offering to split the shipping cost... Shipping on something like this can sometimes be a deal breaker. |

What kind of tubes are in this?
