Hey Y'all,

The combination of GAS for another bass and not needing 3 heads, much less 3 microheads has this as the odd amp out.

stock picture above
mfrs specs: http://www.yamaha.com/yamahavgn/CDA/...5253DY,00.html

This is a cool little amp. It uses "digital eq" (as opposed to "modelling" - don't ask me what the difference is) to provide a range of sounds from clean/clear through B-15ish, tube, SVT-ish through overdriven and full-on fuzz. The digital front-end lets you save 5 settings that you can switch between at the touch of a button (or the stomp on a midi footpedal - not included). It has tons of features - parametric eq, compressor, noise gate, crossover, etc.

It puts out 250W at 4 Ohms and 500W at 2 Ohms in a compact ~11lb package. While not super powerful into an efficient cab (I used it with a 4 Ohm Schroeder 15+L) it can get plenty loud.

It will ship in the original packaging with both the side handles and rack ears.

$300 shipped in the contiguous 48, paypal preferred

trades:

Acme Low B1 series 2 8 Ohm
G&L L-2000 fretless (1.5" nut width, under 10 lbs)

I had a chance to play through one of these at a GTG. I have to wonder what amps beat this out .....great amp! ..... bump

Well it beat out a Markbass LMII and GenzBenz Shuttle 6.0 for me, but a Carvin BX1200 (and now a BX500) have beaten it out. So it's extra.

I added some trade ideas to the original post

cool little amp (that isnt so little!)

imo yammy hit a home run with those little 1x10's and this amp. I guess the market disagreed since they discontinued it.

(bump)

I have the 110 combo and it sounds and plays great.

If I had the spare money I'd grab it to use the crossover/stereo functioning.

Too bad Yamaha stopped making almost all of their amps. Great gear.

While I don't need 3 amps having 2 means I have a backup/alternate so for the time being this is going to stay put.
