Early '80s Yamaha PB1 preamp. Sounds GREAT, built like a tank (I have proven this through my actions), very nice unit.
These are excellent preamps with a very smooth/deep/dark sound. Includes a crossover if that's your thing.
Here's the deal--I dropped it off my speaker when it was unracked, and the right rack ear was bent. The unit is fully functional and can still be installed in a rack. But, yeah, I ****ed it up, like an idiot.
$100 shipped in the continental States, an excellent piece of equipment with an unfortunate accident in its past.
Pix added! It may take a little more than pliers--the tank-like qualities of the casing can be a hindrance when fixing a dent or bent part...But, I'm sure someone can straighten it out if they want to, and in the meantime it works and is rack-able.
Nothing a rubber mallet won't fix. Steal-of-a-deal (I have one) and one heckuva nice TBer-type guy.
FTR, this is one of the best onboard para EQ's I've encountered. Coupled with the Fenderesque (?) tone stack, it's hard to get a bad sound out of it.

Man, I have sold a ton of stuff on here in the past week, raising funds to cover some home repairs. The lesson I've learned: the key to moving stuff quickly is incredibly low prices! Duh.
