Ok, I can barely believe I'm doing this, but I've been gassing for an Aguilar AG500sc for some time now, so I'll throw this out there and see if there's any interest.
I'm running a LMII with an Aguilar ToneHammer and I've come to realize that what I'm really looking for is that Aguilar sound, so I'm concocting a trade offer.
I've got a MarkBass LMII head (including rack ears) in excellent condition. Not a scratch on it as far as I can see and it works flawlessly.
I'd like an Aguilar AG500SC, and so I'm curious to see if there would be any interest in trading the LMII + cash for the AG500sc (the AG500 would also be tasty, but i recognize the price difference)
I'd be willing to add up to $150 cash to the LMII in trade for an AG500SC. Everyone pays their own shipping.
Any interest? |

I'm really not unhappy with the LMII, but it seems to me that if I'm going to such lengths to make it sound like an Aggie, I might as well give in and complete my Aguilar rig |

dano | Yeah, I might do that, but I need to be sure I have a lock on an Aggie head before I get rid of this one and I don't have a great deal of liquid capital floating around.
I'd probably sell it for $475 + shipping which would get me within range of some of the ag500's I've seen around. |

No real knocks against the LMII, but its just not in the same ballpark as the DB750. There seems to be quite a few DB750s out there FS. I agree that selling the LMII first will be a lot faster way to an Aggie than waiting for a trade to come up.

It's really a great time to buy a DB750. (I got mine for about $400 more than my LMII.)
Again, good luck, and hopefully we'll be seeing your new rig in the Aguilar club thread! |

Also, I love the way the DB750's sound, but there's no way I'm going from carrying around 6 lbs to 40+lbs. (well, maybe if someone was like, "here have my DB750 i think I'd start schlepping it) The AG500sc is the middle ground for weight/size/sound for me.
I'd probably keep the LMII if I could justify two amps. |

The LMII is nice and light and compact, but if your carrying in a cab anyway (610 in my case) then moving the DB750 around really doesn't add to overall load. I just got to a point in my playing life where I was tired of compromising, trying to justify a lightweight set-up. The DB750 is well (really well) worth its weight.
And I also have a TA501/Berg HT/EX for 'smaller' venues which certainly can hold its own.
