Really on the fence on this one - I love this amp, but really need to go smaller, lighter, and trying to sell a bunch of other gear due to financial crisis. I reserve the right to pull at any time.
2nd best sounding amp I have ever played through. Just monster, killer, thunderous tone. Tubes in all their glory. Again, it kills me to get rid of this. Comes with rack case. I think it is an early 90's model, has the attached power cable. Some wear, but nothing major. Recently gone over by an amp repair shop and no issues found. New J&J tubes with about 20 hours on them. Otherwise if you are looking at this then you probably know the amp.
I am looking for a lighter weight rig - Markbass, Genz Benz Shuttle series, Tecamp Puma, some of the GK stuff, Bergantino cabs (prefer 2x10's for cabs), etc. +- cash as needed, although I can't add much at the moment.
Located in Seattle area, locals are obviously welcome. Now also for sale - asking $900.
Pics posted later.

I tend to think amps are situational, so the term best amp kind of depends on a combination of tone, flexibility, portability, and loudness. I don't mean to be anal, but I think there is a big difference between the best overall amp and the best sounding amp :-)
The best *sounding* amp, however, is just pure tone, and this Mesa 400+ is indeed the 2nd best sounding amp. The 1st best sounding amp is my Aguilar DB359, bar none. Best sounding amp I have every heard ...
#3 BTW is an Eden WT-800, #4 is the Eden VT-300 ... Quote:
