Hey I posted the ad the other day, but I've found out some things on it that merit bringing in a whole new ad. I'm not putting this up for sale since I don't know what its worth.
I had originally thought it was a later amp into a newer cabinet. I posted the amp on CL and someone told me that it was the original 66 cabinet. The sticker inside was just the production number. (Which was 72, not 1972. So much for memory eh?) It has the prized AB763 circuit (says so on the sticker!) The Good
The tolex is in amazing shape for how old it is. No major tear or rips. Mostly just scuffs and it looks like the tolex is starting to lip on the bottom of the amp.
The amp was in pretty good working condition when I last used it, and I'm told that the tubes are also original to the amp.
Still has the spring reverb tank on the bottom.
Original electronics and tubes: Not completely positive on the tubes though, I will check. The amp wasn't used much from 79 to 2000 as thats when he retired from playing live. It pretty much sat in his bedroom for most of its life with only occasional jams on it as he mostly played acoustic guitar. The Bad
Some of the screws holding in the back for the amp cabinet (where the speaker goes) aren't original.
I lost the fuse cap for the amp. I went to show my friend the fuse as I was talking about amps and I dropped it at my rehearsal studio and it was never recovered. I have an extra cap from my Mesa but no fuse for it.
I don't have the cover for this amp. I might have the foot switch, not positive on it, but I'll look.
The speaker (blue back Jensen) will need to be reconed. The paper is falling apart on it. It currently isn't connected to the amp.
I'd like to keep this local to the NYC area. I'll meet you in either Manhattan or Brooklyn with this. If you want to ship this, I don't have a box and it'll be taken to a place to get professionally packed and shipped. Of course, whoever takes the amp pays shipping.
