FT/FS Mesa D-180

Sign in to disble this ad
I have owned this head for apx 8 years. I have gigged extensivley with it and also toured nationally with it. Its time for something new. I play in two bands right now, one of which is finally another good metal band.

http://s62.photobucket.com/albums/h9...iscorpse/MESA/

I have had the head pro serviced at least bi annually. The only cosmetic issue I know of is one if the plastic press on knobs is missing off the first graphic EQ slider.
I have never used the FX loop, slave out, or D.I. out so i cannot comment on them. I assume they are fine.
3 years ago I knew I was going to be touring so I took the head to a great tech and had him take the head apart and go through the solder joints, caps, ect. anything that might cause an issue. I have never had a single solitary issue with this head in 8 years. I play it through a Mesa road ready Powerhouse 1000 cab and its awsome.
The fan has hi/off/low all works, is a little loud on high but obviously doesnt matter once you start playing.
Most of you know its alot different than the 400+ aside from looking very similar. It can go from mesa punchy to gritty, to 67 ampeg SVT, to Lemmy's marshall sound.
The head is in a 4 space gator rack. Bought it in the rack, never removed it. Only person that takes it out is my tech.
At this point, I need just a touch more clean headroom than I have right now.

So what I am interested in trades, partial trades with cash your way or my way are:

*GBE1200
*Mesa 400+
*SVT4
*rack mount SVT (all tube)
*B1500
*GK 1001RBII
*GK 2001
*SWR (higher end stuff)

I apologize I dont have pics up yet. I snapped 3 quick on my cell last night that i can send if your serious. But its at my rehearsal space and I have to take my good cam down or bring it home thursday.
I would rather do a trade deal than sell it outright because I cannot go without a head period. I play in two bands and have 4 rehearsals a week. All during the week.
I believe thats all for right now, if you have any questions dont hesitate. If you would like my ebay info I can give you that too. 450+ Positive feedback (100%)
Thanks

These are GREAT amps, but in a *FS/FT* ad you need to post a price. If you really don't want to sell outright make the price $30,000,000.

Because I cannot go without a head for more than 2-3 days and that as soon as this is gone I need to replace it immediatley....straight up FS price would have to be $700. Paypal included ofcourse.

One of the best bass amps ever!!! I played through one of these with a Mesa 2-15" cabinet for years, this amp rocks. The EQ is the icing on the cake, I don't generally like slider EQ's but this is straightforward & pwerful, and it's easy to quickly shape it for any room. Talk about tube grind....wow!

Something tells me this won't stay up too long if he tries his new Growler thru both channels on this head, so ya guys on the fence w/this one might wanna jump on it. If I didn't already have a 400+ I'd be PMing him right about now myself.

These amps also KILL for guitar. It'll bury a Marshall/Krank stack w/o breaking a sweat, esp thru 2 EVM-15L's
