Traded!

This is a FT feeler because I'm on the fence:

I'm not in a hurry to get rid of this rig. Hands down, it is stellar! However, I have been thinking that I "might" want to go 200w or 300w tubes rigs.

Both are almost mint condition. Very VERY little wear!

The Marshall VBA400 is in excellent condition and comes with a black cover. It has one tiny tiny scuff on the front tolex, but hardly noticable. It is loaded with a Octet of Winged "C".

The Emperor 412 cabinet ( 30 X 30 X 18 ) was built for me. Only approx 2 months old. Stained with Dark Walnut and grill cloth is Vintage Oxblood. This one was built with the extended depth of 18 inches (vs 15 inches) and with wood backing name plate. Also comes with the dark mauve Emperor slip cover.

Wouldn't mind keeping the Emperor cabinet and just do a head swap. But listing both to see what type of swap could be made.

Tube rigs that I'm interested in:

Divided by 13
Morgan
Orange
Green Amp
Ampeg Hertiage or maybe American SVT-VR

Love my VBA 400 but I too have thought about downsizing just so I can push the power section a little harder, but to be honest recently I have found that driving the preamp hard and the power section at half gets me the sound I want ffrom the glass.

Carbonfold, just out of curiosity did the winged C's change the tone much from the stock tubes (if you had the amp from new)?

I bought it used so I cant completely compare on the stock power tubes vs replacements.

It gets the job done well. A ton of headroom on tap and the preamp has a good bite to it. You can drive it a little harder by putting a inefficient cabinet under it and cranking it up more.

I'm not gonna lose sleep if I don't trade it off . This is a amp that I probably will regret losing if it is traded off because they are hard to come by on the preowned market

:o:ohi, i like your post. i have a custom made in the usa neck through 4 string bass w/ohsc. i might swap you even up for your amp head shiped to me in jax fl 32211.:bassist:
fourth prototype in the boom slang design and # 00125 out of the company named [ infinite metal werkz]. google for information on the company etc. the owner and president is craig gruber. my friend plays bass for the groups rainbo & black sabbath.
this bass was presented to me by craig gruber back in 12/09. it is autograophed and numberwed on the back of the headstock by graig gruber himself.
now, this bass is passive with a 9v power boost. albalone inlays of celtic crosses are on the double octave neck which is made of teac rosewood.
the headstock has an albalone image of the company logo which is a castle on it along with etched engravings of [imw]. the body is pecan. the back canandian maple. gorgeous neck stripes from headstock through neck to bottom. all brass hardware. tuners,keys,bridge,5 control knobs, frets. 2 [imw] hb,s. strung with eb slinky,s. this finish glistens and has some cloud puffs underneath but in all very acceptable cause this bass plays as good as it looks.. it comes w/the ohsc with [imw] stenciled in red across the black 3 latch coffin case. it,s a 9.7 /10.0 nice sized hidden compartment inside for cables etc. the bass weighs 8.7lbs. i am new to tb so hello, my names mark. i live over here in jax fl 32211. thought i,d give you a shout out. not sure about pictures on here yet. so please email me at markrenner@bellsouth.net for some down loaded photos i have of this bass.
