I've accepted that my Walkabout is what I'm looking for tone-wise right now. I've been keeping the Carbine for the face-peeling volume that it puts out, but all that volume is just unrealistic for me at the moment. I am interested in experimenting with the Walkabout through a power amp though, so (and yes, I have read all the posts saying that the Walkabout loses its mojo through other power amps!)...
I would love to trade for a lightweight power amp plus some cash (QSC, Stewart, etc- especially with built in high-pass filters, HUGE wattage is not a necessity- at least 800 watts bridged sounds ideal), or possibly sell for $800 shipped if there are no such trades to be found. I might also be interested in a Tronographics Rusty Box, or nice ebony or epoxy-boarded fretlesses (especially G&Ls), or possibly cabs with 12s or 15s.
The amp is in great condition save for one little ding on the top edge of the front plate above the power switch (just a thin little nick), and has all paperwork and 4 years left on the fully transferrable warranty. It sounds amazing, and is just about the perfect amp for clarity, punch, and sheer volume- I just don't need so much of any of those now that I'm not playing loud, heavy music!
