FT/S Feeler - Dr. Bass Doctor Bass 3080 cabinet

Sign in to disble this ad

900 watts, neo, 4 ohms, about 70lbs - and it'll actually take all 900 of those watts!

I helped design this cabinet and to my knowledge it's the only one. It's a fantastic, super loud cabinet that goes ridiculously low as well. It's got better mids than most bass cabs available and is super portable despite its large size - I can carry it up and down a flight of stairs on my own without too much difficulty and have many times. It's about 70lbs and has a dolly handle and tilt back casters.

There were a couple issues with it when I got it: One of the wheels and the top handle were sealed poorly, so I caulked them up and it's good as new. Also, it was missing a cross brace, which I installed per Marc's instructions. It's extremely sturdy and well constructed save for those oversights.

It's got two 3015LFs with a 900 watt crossover, an Alpha 8 MRA midrange, and a Selenium tweeter. The crossover point is 1200hz, but I do not know the slopes if you're curious about that you can email Marc! I believe it to be 12db down / 18db up. It's tuned to around 42hz, according to Marc.

I have gigged this once and it filled out the stage volume and backed up the PA pretty well for an outdoor gig. I didn't push it terribly hard, but I have turned it up quite loud. The 3015LFs really kick!

I've just downsized my rig quite a lot and found that one 3015LF cabinet is enough for me in most all gigs and if not we tend to have PA support. It's just more cabinet than I need and I'd like to finance building another fEarful to match my smaller one.

650 cash + shipping. I highly recommend someone within driving distance of Phoenix pick this bad boy up as it is super expensive to ship! I will have to build my own box for it and I'd anticipate around 100 bucks shipping.

I'd be willing to deal trades, pretty flexible gear wise.

Update: FYI, if someone has a fEarful and for some reason wants to trade, I'd be down to trade this for your fEarful + 100 bucks Will drive up to Los Angeles area for swaps.

Other trade items I like (+ or - cash)
Carvin BX1200
Any quality preamp with semi-parametric eq
Composite neck basses
American P/J basses
Euphonic Audio Wizzy cabinets or combos
Tecamp Puma 1000
EA IAmp pro

Hell throw anything at me! I'm always into trying out new stuff.

Sorry:

900 watts, neo, 4 ohms, closer to 70lbs I think.

Thanks man If I've still got it and you get down to Phoenix you're more than welcome to check it out, especially given your awesome taste in gear :>

It's really an amazing replacement for someone who would normally use an 8x10 weighing twice as much. It is easily louder than any 8x10 I have ever seen and if stretched I can pick it up with one hand for brief amounts of time.

It's 23.5" wide by about 35.5" tall (I think closer to 37" with the feet) by 17.5" deep.

Darn. I need something that's a little bit shallower to fit in the bed of my truck with the lid down. Best of luck with the sale for you, I'm sure this sounds great.

would meeting in albuquerque be an option? i wonder if shipping would offset the cost in fuel, etc. still thinking about my next cab purchase, but it would be good to know where you're willing to go.

The cost of time is more the issue, but NM is out of my league. It's about 60 bucks in just gas not to mention time.

I estimate 80 bucks to ship so probably better just to ship at that distance which I'm more than willing to do for cash.

A six hour drive is about my limit - something I can do in an a single saturday if I leave early.

It's line-x like hard coating, commonly referred to as "bedliner" or what have you, like all Dr. Bass cabinets.
