I bought this from Squid about a month ago.....GREAT amp....sounds amazing but I just got a deal on a Mesa cab and I played a M6 through it and I like the simplicity of the M6...if you really take your time with the Thunderfunk the eq is surgical you can actually control every string....The Funk is in a 420 housing from what I understand Dave had a few left over chassis and there were like 5 of these made......but the serial number states that it IS a 550-a...it was gone back through by Dave Funk some time ago and "The Switch" was added....amp is in great condition the only problem is some rack rash....comes with rack ears, feet and handle....THE ONLY TRADE I AM LOOKING FOR IS A MESA M6 CARBINE FOR STRAIGHT TRADE...will post some pictures later this afternoon when my wife returns from taking pictures of the snow with my camera. REVISION----> will also entertain trades for other Mesa bass heads as long as it is not a walkabout......
