Gallien Kreuger 800rb - Older "horizontal switch" version

Sign in to disble this ad
Hello,

I'm selling my nice old 800RB and I am sure to miss it but I just have way too much gear. It's an older model with the horizontal power switch, which there are claims that these are made of better quality components. The amp was recently serviced at a very reputable shop in Boston, and a minor hum was reduced to nearly nothing. It's a loud burly rock amp, or you can get some pristine clean tones too. 300W Woofer/100W Tweeter, 400 W Bi-amp capability. Loud. The pictures show the condition, just some scratches and it's missing one knob cover.

$360 Shipped, Lower 48 only, no trades, and paypal only.

Thanks!

a note to the interested-- you can also go 300+100 watts full range into one 4 ohm cab and one 8 ohm cab (or three 8 ohm cabs).

This is the amp that ended my amplifier search forever. Except maybe to buy one of its little brothers, the 400RB!

Yeah, thanks guys, these amps are loud and really versatile and have a lot of soul/character/mojo/guts/whatever, and I'm sure I will own another one day. Because they live forever. But it's career change time, and I have a 700rbii to keep me warm at night for now.

The Humpty Bump. Please buy this soon before I'm financially irresponsible and change my mind. I've already sold and bought back this amp once.
