Gallien Krueger 400rb (1983) GK with rack ears

Sign in to disble this ad
For Sale: GK 400rb from 3-1983

This amp is a fantastic sounding workhorse! Super clean especially for being 28 years old. The tone honestly rivals my TC Electronic Classic 450. It has better treble/high-end extension than the TC Electronic. These, to my ears, sound better than the later versions of the 400rb or the later rb series all together.

Classic amp with power enough for many gigs today and still light weight. No fan = no fan noise. 100% functional and sounds great!

PRICE: $215 SHIPPED in the Con. USA

Located in Atlanta, GA. It does not biamp, that is the 800rb. The 400rb is 200 watts at 4ohm with no biamping option. Shipping is included in the price.

sr56funk isn't kidding about the tone of these. I have the same older hardwired version, and I prefer mine to my 800rb. Also remember that the 200watts of an old GK is pretty much like the 300 watts of many manufacturers if not a bit more.

A great sounding amp at 8 ohms, but an absolute killer at 4 ohms. I have one from the same time period, and I vow it will be the last piece of gear I ever sell. Also as stated, a VERY loud 200 watts!

Yes...most definitely loud at 4 ohms. I find it keeping up with my TC Electronic Classic 450 until close to the end. Plenty of gigging volume in this 400rb.
