Hey everyone,
I just got this head at the start of this summer, and I can't believe I'm selling it. It's in great condition, and works perfectly. This thing sounds great, has plenty of power, and is about as versatile as they come. It is very crisp and clear sounding, and brings out lots of growly character from basses, but also has a nice, balanced and fat bottom end. It has a tube and FET preamp, so you can choose classic tube sounds, more modern FET solid state sounds, or mix them both (what I usually did) for a "best of both worlds" kind of sound. This amp will run down to 2 ohms extremely well.
This amp is incredibly user-friendly, the EQ is simple but effective, the preamp is easy to dial in, and the 3 signal shape functions are GREAT.
There is a L.F. Extend which gives you more low end, there is a Mid Scoop (self-explanatory), and a H.F. Attack which gives you a bit of a high boost for some extra aggressive attack. For those of you who have had a hard time switching from fingerstyle to slap, this section (along with the FET/tube preamp) makes it VERY easy to switch.
This really is a great amp, but I just got a Mesa for a price I couldn't pass up, so this one has to go.
Amp comes with a 2-button footswitch for switching preamp settings from FET to Tube and to mix them.
Looking for
$550 or trades. I'll trade for a
4 string Jazz bass I'd also trade my Fender MIJ P-Bass, Charvel Fusion, or Yamaha RBX750a for the right bass. I've always wanted a Rickenbacker...
Head
ships in a nice Gator Studio 2 Go rack mount bag. The bag has one tear on the outside, but does its job well.
You won't be disappointed, this thing is ready for whatever you throw at it.
