Gibson/Thunderfunk GB 440 w/Bag

Sign in to disble this ad
In my ever revolving amp setup, I just bought a LM II. So I need to free up some cash for a bass purchase and put the Gibson/Thunderfunk GB440 up for sale. The amp sounds great set flat and I only had to adjust the enhance or timber knob for all the gigs I've used it on. The serial number is TF 109 so I am guessing that this one was assembled by Dave Funk. The amp also comes with a Gibson bag that is in fair to good shape and four capacitors that the previous owner gave me. Price is $375 Shipped to the lower 48 and I'm only willing to ship to the lower 48 due to past experiences. No Trades unless you have a Alleva LG-5 or Sadowsky Vintage 5 that I could trade towards!

Here's a family photo of this amp along with its siblings. Quadzilla has one of these also. The other 2 have never written home so I don't know where they are.

Front Panel...Instrument in, aux/tuner output, gain, compressor on/off, enhance, bass, 3 band semiparametric eq, treble, timber, volume, phones/line output, power switch.

Rear Panel...power, fuse, (2) 1/4 inch speaker outputs, 2 effects loops (1 pre eq and 1 post eq), xlr & 1/4 inch recording outputs with line level knob.

400 watts into 4 ohms

Bathroom scale says 15.8 pounds

Thats all I have on it right now...sounds great though! I liked it much better than the SWR & Eden amps I've had in the past...super easy to get good tone.
