GK 2001RBP Preamp: $310 SHIPPED

Sign in to disble this ad
REALLY hate to let this go, but alas, it's not getting enough use.

2-channel GK 2001RBP preamp that's in perfect condition with no issues and has been kept in a rack and gigged fewer than 5 times by me. Doesn;t even have any rack rash (see pics). This is the preamp section of the GK 2001 amp, for those who aren't familiar with it.

Comes with footswitch.

Selling for $310 SHIPPED (no trades) to the lower 48 states only, please.

PM me if interested.

Long story short...

The "chain" output (reverse) is actually a stereo out which was designed to carry both < 5 khz and > 5 khz signals to a GK proprietary power amp which never left the drawing board. As it stands, you're better off using a conventional T/S cable and keeping the Woofer's Hi-Cut button in the out position...this provides a full range signal which is controlled solely by the Woofer volume control. You can still bi-amp via some complicated wiring....check the manual for details. Here's a neat trick: if you use a T/R/S balanced cable into your power amp and activate the Woofer Hi-Cut, both the Woofer and Tweeter controls have some tonal control when summed. It's a bit confusing but works like a charm.
