Yes, this is the new MB-500, NOT the MB2-500 that had all those issues. You can tell as this has the limiter switch on the top surface of the head - the old version did not have this.

PS - what kind of looks like rack-rash near the limiter switch in the photo is dust - the head has never been in a rack and is in MINT condition.
