Ladies and gentlemen:
Up for sale is my Glockenklang Take Five cabinet. It is an 8 ohm cabinet, and it is loaded with the fabled Volt drivers. It has a wonderfully thick, deep tone that occupies a nice presence in a group mix. The crossover and tweeter are extraordinarily smooth. The cabinet weighs is spec'd at 68 lbs, which is amazing given the fact that the drivers are ceramic. The way it gets such a low weight is by using a composite sandwich construction, not plywood on the enclosure. A very easy schlep, and it is in amazing cosmetic condition. I would not be surprised if it had only been used for rehearsals; that is all I used it for, and all its previous owner had used it for as well.
The trouble is that the bottom-right driver is buzzing. I bought it from a friend of mine, Dee-Man, on TB. In shipping on the way to me, it seems to have been damaged, despite the fact that it appears to be in cosmetically near-perfect condition. The voice coil, according to some experts here, seems to be warped. It buzzes at low volumes. Reconing, TB'ers predict, would seem to solve it. In rehearsal settings, it is almost entirely unnoticeable. Read about the issues it has here (with video).

For that reason, I am taking a considerable loss and listing this for $275. Yes. That is right. $275. You pay all shipping costs, international OK. These sell new for over $1500. I am going to be driving from Savannah to Toronto at the beginning of September, and am happy to meet you somewhere along the way if you want it. The only catch is that this is sold as-is; I cannot help you with any technical issues once you pick it up. If it turns out you need a replacement driver, I got a quote for $160, shipping included, from Helge at Glockenklang. So even if you choose not to recone, it's still a steal for this killer cabinet.
This is a wonderful cabinet. Frankly, I don't have the patience to do the minor repair on it, and I need a new cabinet ASAP. I have a show coming up, and could really, really, really use a new cab. But it's an unbelievable deal for you if you have the expertise or enthusiasm to fix this.
Thanks!
Emilio
