late 90's/early 2000's Gallien Kreuger 400RB, $225

Hey guys,

I'm selling my GK practice amp. I'm trying to transition from a big live rig, small live rig and practice rig into a single, smaller rig, so most everything is going out the door.

This amp has only seen a couple gigs, and most of them were quiet jazz gigs. Otherwise it has only been used at home for practice (and thus has never been run very loud).

When all my other amps have had an issue or two over the years, this thing has been absolutely rock solid. I've never so much as had a single issue.

It has spent its entire life in a rack, but I sold the rack so the picture was taken after it was removed.

$225 plus $40 shipping to CONUS (extra padded!). I'm happy to let Bay area come by and try it out, and obviously no shipping charges there.

Thanks!

IMO, the 400 was the best amp GK has ever built. Very nice price as well.

I hear what you mean, let me see how the gigs this weekend go and I might be able to do something towards that head.

Is the handle still on it? I assume the rack ears will pop right off.

There is no handle on it. You can unscrew the rack ears if you want, yes.

any interest in a Sadowsky outboard preamp/D.I.. Great for turning a passive bass into an active without changing anything on the bass, the bass stays stock and you get passive tones and active with a click of a button? It's just not my thing right now.

I owned a 400RB about 16 years ago and I loved it then, until the SWR bug bit me. I wouldn't mind owning another one.

Thanks for the offer! I don't own any passive basses, though. I'm trying to stick with straight cash at the moment, though.

I'm actually in Redwood City now, but yes, I still do have the amp. You are welcome to come by and try it out!
