I'm going to let one of these go and will keep the other. It really doesn't matter which one does get sold, but I would probably prefer to keep the TA501.
TA501 with rack ears. $600 shipped. This has been racked from day one. Original owner. Tube compressor. Footswitchable mute and eq. Its currently in my rack at our studio, but should have pics up by this weekend.
LMII $475 shipped. I've used this one both for home and the studio. It has a few surface scratches. Original owner. Pics should be up soon.

Let me think about the LMII, I'll need something to power the 210 I just picked up.

That TA501 has some nice features. |

I hadn't picked that up. Hope that's not too much of a deal breaker for anyone. I can either try to see if its lying around somewhere here, go find a like one at the hardware store, or knock $5 off the price and let it go as is.
Regarding BASSIST's post: Both set flat, they sound essentially identical to me. The tube compressor on the TA501, and the added low-mid and high-mid semi-parametric eq does allow greater tone shaping than the LMII although I usually keep it flat most of the time with just a touch of VPF . Of course the mute on the TA501 is nice for quite tunings and band breaks.

Since I'm only selling one of the two, and the TA501 has the nut, if there is interest in the LMII I will just swap the nut out from the TA501. I'll also be contacting MarkBass to if there is a replacement available. Hope this helps.

Nice amp.
Ox.

I'd like to claim that they are my secret weapon for earthshaking tone, but I can't.....at least with a straight face. I do use the gramma pad with my EX/HT stack at times, usually on raised hollow stages. That really does help reduce mudboom.
BTW, which head are you interested in buying?

They said that I should either find a replacement nut at my local hardware store or deal with my 'local distributer', which = Guitard Center. Not a big deal, but its times like this that I could appreciate a little more direct GenzBenz-like customer support.
I'm also really leaning toward taking the TA501 off the market. Played it this weekend and it sounded fantastic. Decisions decisions.
