| | | | I just bought that cab, new/retail -- obviously for a lot more $$. I chose it over a lot of respected name competitors, cuz I found it had the perfect compromise of sound and volume and portability.
The bottom end is perfect: very full and unforced, and just extended (freq.) enough to sound right for stage.
But the lows don't overwhelm the mids -- there's tons of punch, and good definition.
The highs are modest, but take EQ well. I leave the tweeter on full, and it doesn't sound shrill, or separate from the other drivers.
And it fits in the back seat of my teeny subcompact Toyota sedan.
You already know that the LMII/III is, like, the new standard for a good sounding, flexible, loud, and economical mini-head. Can't beat it.
So for an even $1000 here, someone can be basically set for a fairly big and loud rig that could power a professional career for years.
I know this sounds like an ad, but I don't know the seller; I just love this gear. After all the crappier sounding, impossibly heavy stuff I lugged around for decades, this rig is a dream, and I feel blessed to already own it. :^} |
