TalkBass Forums - Marshal 1551 IBS series 215 cabinet (MD/VA/NJ)

My last "big black box" before I go all micro. This cab is currently at my old practice space and I'll be picking it up tomorrow evening. It is in good condition and has served me well....but I'm going small now so this needs to go. Once the cab is in my possession again I'll post more information.

I've seen a few rigs online of this 215 and the 412 Marshall being used as a stack. Heavy.

This cabinet was in production from 1984 upto 1993. It was fitted with two 15" Celestion G15-100 16Ω 100W speakers.

I bought it for ~~400~~ so that's the asking price.
4/16/2013 - PIC AND PRICE UPDATE
So I finally got this cab back and found that one of the plastic handles has been broken off (hmm...). You know it goes. I've been looking around online for a site that sells these handles used but have had no luck since. Right now you can still use the broken handle and the attached one to carry the cab....as long as you dont pull the unattached handle out. I think the pics will explain more. If you're interested I'll be happy to answer any questions. Also: if you know where I (or a potential buyer) can purchase a new handle I'd appreciate the tip :hyper:.
So the new price is ~~$350~~ due to this finding. I played out of the cab for a little tonight and got a little sad about selling it....but life is a bitch.
