Marshall VBA400 All Tube Amp

Sign in to disble this ad
I have a Marshall VBA400 amp that I'm not using, so it's up for sale. These are 400 brutal watts of all tube power-great for festivals, or rattling everything off of the walls at your bar gig! This one's in really nice shape. There's one little shallow scuff on the tolex on the top front that's not very visible. It's also been retubed with less than 2 hours on the new tubes. I also have the soft cover for it. These typically go for $1400-1500 in good used condition. I'm asking $1300.00 shipped and insured CONUS via Fedex. I'm in the Dallas area, so if you want to pick it up or meet me within a reasonable driving distance, it's $1200.00.
I'll get some pix later tonight or tomorrow.

Don't see these around too often...
Please excuse my ignorance, but how would you compare the tone to an SVT?

I wish that I could be more help, but the only time that I played an SVT was at a festival, so it's hard for me to compare the two. It seems that they are similar in sound. The Marshall has a nice tone stack-there's Treble, Mid, and Bass pots and a 3-way Mid Contour control. There's also Deep and Bright switches, and it has an input Gain and Master Volume.
Thanks, Ron

Free bump for a killer amp! I used to have one of these when I played in a YES tribute band. This 400 watt all-tube monster will rock the house!

Price Drop!

OK, I can drop the price to $1200.00 shipped and insured within CONUS. Or I can do $1100.00 for pickup. This is a killer amp and will absolutely smoke at outdoor gigs!

Tube Question

I had a question about the new tubes, so here it is with the answer:

Hi, They're a matched set of Svetlana Winged C 6550's. They were biased when they were installed
