Mesa Bass Amps: M-2000 and 400+

Sign in to disble this ad
I'm selling 2 Mesa/Boogie bass amps.

Mesa/Boogie Basis M-2000 - $725 OBO

Just serviced by Mesa in October.
Comes with footswitch and 2 space rack.
Picture below. This is the 119th one ever made. Discontinued model.
Collectible condition.

Mesa/Boogie Bass 400+ - $775
Older version with 6 band eq. Very nice condition. Preamp tubes have no markings on them so I'm not sure if they are Mesa.
Power tubes are all Mesa but not all the same. 2 STR 430, 3 STR 425s, 7 STR 420s.
Older tubes but all test good. Sounds AWESOME through Mesa 8x10.

If you want 4 new mesa preamp tubes, add $60.
If you want 6 new mesa power tubes (str 425) add $120 (you will need 6 more for a whole new set)

Wow that's a great deal on a 400+, if I wasn't picking up a DB750 Friday I would pick this up!

Nope it's some sort of padding material, I can peel it off if you want.

Only thing I want is an older Mesa Road Ready 2x10

Free plug and bump for the Mesa/Boogie M-2000:

The tone shaping ability of these things is amazing with both tube and solid state preamps and multiple EQ's, infinitely blend-able. If you love to tweak knobs there is no better bass amp . . . period. They weren't in production very long and it isn't often they go up for sale.

I've had mine for 3 years and I can't imagine myself being satisfied playing any other amp.

I'm not sure because I don't have a scale but much lighter than the 400+, I'd guess somewhere around 30-40lbs?

M-2000 = "Aural Sex!!" That thing is capable of so many killer tones at the stomp of a button it's ridiculous, and they're all awesome. It's an interesting design too... using 2 preamps, a tube rectifier, and a block of power mosfets. Very innovative to say the least. If I didn't already have a 400+ I'd be all over that M-2000, but I'm finally happy w/my rig (for once).

+1

It's ridiculous that people just go after the new flavour of the week instead of going after some seriously great gear. I use one of these and it is by far the most versatile amp out there. Tube and solid state preamps with four different EQ sections, not to mention foot switchable tube overdrive.

The more I play it the more I'm starting to think you're all right. I may have to keep this one...

Closing thread, I need to spend some more time with the m-2000.
